Volunteers are needed to help Paint the Town Purple on Saturday, April 28, 2018 9am – 12noon. Meet at the Borough Hall Lawn & Parking Lot and help decorate the town in purple ribbons.
The American Cancer Society is also seeking businesses and organizations to get involved in the Relay For Life movement by displaying purple ribbons and other decorations. Purple is the signature color of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life program, which represents all cancers. Anyone in the community can help “Paint The Town Purple” by doing activities, including putting up purple-theme displays in storefronts, swapping out white light bulbs for purple ones, or selecting a day for everyone to wear purple at work or school. In addition, if you would like to have a purple ribbon spray painted on your driveway or a garden stepping stone on April 28th for $20, or if you would like to purchase a “We Proudly Support Relay for Life of Rutherford” Window Cling for $10 or $20, please contact Robyn at ragibney@verizon.net or 201-988-8905.
“Painting the town purple is so important because it spreads awareness about the Relay For Life of Rutherford and lets community residents know that Relay For Life is in their community and that they should join the fight against cancer.” – Relay For Life of Rutherford Committee Member. Together, we can beat our biggest rival. Join or donate to the Relay For Life of Rutherford. Visit www.RelayForLife.org/RutherfordNJ for more information.
