SUMMARY:Labor Day Street Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Borough of Rutherford has selected Cliffhanger Productions to produce its 44th Annual Labor Day Street Fair to be held Monday\, September 2\, 2019. The Street Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Musical entertainment will be held at the Hutzel Memorial Band Shell in Lincoln Park starting at 11 a.m. \nOne of the most well attended street fairs in the state\, visitors can expect to find over 250 vendors lining the streets\, parks\, and plazas featuring antiques\, collectibles\, and craft vendors from all over the East Coast. \nCliffhanger Productions will bring its signature brand of entertainment to the festival with many activities to entertain the kids while the parents shop. There will be many rides and amusements\, a children’s stage\, magic show\, balloon artists\, face painting\, and variety of street performers. \nLocal restaurants will be out in force\, along with some of the area’s non-profit groups that are planning food-related fundraising – all doing their part to make sure that festival goers can keep up their energy throughout the day. \nOther area non-profits will have booths to provide information\, engage in fundraising\, and recruit volunteers. \nThere will be live music all day long beginning with local artist and radio personality Lise Avery\, followed by a surprise national act. \nMusic scheduled for the Labor Day Street Fair: \n10:15am – 11:30am: Lise Avery Trio \n12pm – 12:50pm: Sounds of Simon & Garfunkel \n1pm – 1:30pm: DJ Kimon \n1:30pm – 2:30pm: Peach Project \n2:30pm – 3pm: DJ Kimon \n3pm – 4pm: Sounds of Simon & Garfunkel \n4pm – 5pm: Peach Project \nThe Art Association of Rutherford members will be selling their paintings on the lawn of Borough Hall.  In addition\, this year Ames Ave will be closed to vehicle traffic and will include a mechanical bull and beer garden. \nStop by the Meadowlands Museum table to buy a raffle ticket for your chance to win a gorgeous doll house with furniture $5/per ticket. This will make a truly wonderful holiday present!
