DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the beautiful diversity within Rutherford and around the world. The Rutherford Civil Rights Commission presents its Multicultural Festival on Friday\, September 9 (5pm – 8:30pm) & Saturday\, September 10 (1pm – 7:30pm).  This year’s festival will feature free entertainment at the Lincoln Park bandshell.\n\nThere will also be several ethnic food trucks at the event\, including Latin Bites (Puerto Rican & Cuban)\, Rolling Yatai (Japanese)\, Bro-Ritos (Mexican Tacos)\, Master Asador (Argentinian BBQ) & The Brownie Bar (Baked Desserts)\n\nBring a chair. Come for the food trucks and stay for the entertainment. Family fun for all!\n\nThe event is the annual celebration of the Rutherford Civil Rights Commission (RCRC). An official branch of the Borough of Rutherford\, the RCRC works to ensure that all town citizens are provided equal rights and treated with respect. The RCRC’s mission is to eliminate discrimination\, increase public awareness of civil rights through advocacy and education and offer conflict resolution services and mediation for civil rights matters. The only civil rights organization in Bergen County\, the RCRC was founded in 1964 and has been a valuable resource to town residents ever since.
