Art Association of Rutherford Meeting

The Art Association of Rutherford welcomes both amateur and professional artists. The association meets at the Tamblyn Civic Center on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. except during July and August.
At this meeting, we have a free model and still life so everyone can practice their skills. Skilled members are available for help and advice. Some materials provided, or bring your own. Everyone is welcome.
Non-members, the Association asks for a $3 donation to cover the model fee, but it is not mandatory. For more information, email lissanneart@gmail.com.
Each meeting features a demonstration by a visiting artist or member. Recent examples are methods for working in watercolor, creating “life cycle portraits” using gouache, Japanese brush stroke techniques, and how to photograph artwork. Meetings also offer the opportunity to have work critiqued.
