Bicycle and Sewing Machine Collection

Bicycle and Sewing Machine Collection on Saturday, October 19, 2019, 12 noon – 3 pm at the Woman’s Club of Rutherford’s Clubhouse.
The Junior Woman’s Club of Rutherford will be collecting used, repairable adult or children’s bikes and portable, working sewing machines in conjunction with Pedals for Progress / Sewing Peace in order to send these items to developing countries. There, these items will be distributed to poor, working adults to provide them with a means of transportation and/or a source of income. Since it costs $45 to ship each item, the JWCR asks that you contribute $10 along with your bike or sewing machine donation to help cover this cost.
