Art Association of Rutherford

Art Association of Rutherford welcomes both amateur and professional artists. Members are invited to show their work at a number of events: the Labor Day Street Fair, spring Multicultural Festival in Rutherford, a fall exhibition in Lyndhurst at the Meadowlands Environmental Center, among others. Dues are $25.00 per year for adults and $15.00 for junior members, those under 18 years of age. The association meets at the Tamblyn Civic Center on the second Thursday of the month from March through December at 7:30 p.m. except during July and August. 
Each meeting features a demonstration by a visiting artist or member. Recent examples are methods for working in watercolor, creating “life cycle portraits” using gouache, Japanese brush stroke techniques, and how to photograph artwork.
