Volunteers are needed to help Paint the Town Purple on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 9am – 12noon. Meet outside of Allstate (50 Union Avenue) and help decorate the town in purple ribbons.

Relay for Life of Rutherford is also seeking businesses and organizations to get involved in the Relay For Life movement by displaying purple ribbons and other decorations. Purple is the signature color of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life program,

Healing Hearts of Rutherford is a non-profit organization that has been created to help families and victims of abuse and violent crimes meet their medical and legal expenses. “Violence does not happen here” but it did. Its mission is to facilitate their healing process, which can take an enormous amount of time, money, and mental anguish.

The Rutherford Education Association (REA) will host the third annual March Madness Food & Fun Day to benefit the Rutherford Food Pantry on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 9 am to 12 pm in the Washington School Gym. The price of admission is two canned food items per adult and one item per child.
